Chapel Hill, NC | September 20 – 22, 2013 | My first Carolina Inn wedding. And it was quite lovely.
Friday morning I got up in DC, ran 10 miles, metro-ed all of the way out to the end of the orange line in Virginia, and hopped into a car with Adam and Angela to head South for the festivities. We didn’t have too much traffic, grabbed some Wendy’s for lunch and then we met up with my mom because of course I had planned to get my hair done while in town. Jon finally made it into town that night from Detroit on a ridiculously late flight.
Saturday we had to get in some of our own wedding details stopping first by the florist for a consult and then heading by the caterers to try some food for lunch. The food was delicious and we’re looking forward to having everyone enjoy it on the day.
Early afternoon was spent at Four Corners watching the Heels play before getting ready for the wedding. Carolina Inn gives you a warm chocolate chip cookie when you get there. Awesome. Plus it’s a really cute place.
It started raining cats and dogs so the outdoor ceremony was moved indoors into one of the many beautiful rooms the inn has. A heartfelt ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour, and then finally onto dinner and dancing. We enjoyed the DJs so much that we’re booking them for our wedding!
We had a great time and it was so nice to catch up with everyone. 🙂
