A Wedding and a Bridge Run

Across the Bay 10K – November 9, 2014 – Annapolis, MD Time: 59:06

So this was on Sunday the day after my wonderful friends Cara and Eric’s wedding- which worked out perfectly in my travel planning from Wisconsin. The race went pretty well. It was a steady painful climb to the top of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge – which was awesome to be running across by the way – and then downhill and flat to the finish. I was able to make up the time lost in the uphill climb to come in under an hour. Not my fastest but pretty close and a great last weekend run before the half coming up next weekend. A solid race, no problems, I’d recommend to anyone looking for a thrill! Here a couple of race photos that I “borrowed” from the face folks.

Of course as I mentioned prior, the reason we were actually in town was to see our friends Cara and Eric tie the knot. Their wedding and reception took place at the Chesapeake Bay Club. It was a lovely ceremony and you know I broke out the MJ dance moves during the reception. We had a blast and big congrats to the bride and groom!!
