We were in the mountains for the 4th so I was able to run with Jon pacing me again. I did not hit the intended time goal BUT I did eek out a new 10K PR.
My previous PR was from the Bellin Run back in 2015 so it was pretty sweet to break it.
Holy heat batman! We ended up starting later than I would have liked (cue mom life) so it warmed up really fast…. and as I continue to mention I suck at racing in the heat. Thankfully I had my hubs to chase otherwise I would not have made it.
Garmin got a little lost so we used his time for submission. Overall it was hard but I’m proud of the new PR even if I do think I’m capable of more.
Oh and Happy 4th of July y’all!!
