Winter Wrap-up

January 2012 | A look at my winter 2012 and where this blog begins! | 2012 started off with a trip to New York. Wynsor was staying up there for a conference so I came up for the weekend because hey, free place to stay! I met up with Julia for breakfast, a walk through central park and a trip to the Met. I of course found the musical instrument room. πŸ™‚ The Met has gorgeous views of CP that my phone camera just didn’t do justice. Afterwards I met up with Zac for the evening- we stopped by St. Patrick’s Cathedral to take a few snaps. Then over to Rockefeller Center to see the tree before they took it down. A pitstop at Bouchon Bakery for some delicious macarons and then over to Times Square to wait at the TKTS booth for tickets to a Broadway show. We ended up getting tix to Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Most hilarious musical ever. I could not have asked for a better show to see. It was funny and the music was great and I had a wonderful time. Afterwards Zac and I found ourselves with the biggest margaritas ever. Was an awesome quick weekend in NYC. πŸ™‚

The folllowing weekend, Elizabeth, Jason, Wynsor and I headed out to Rehoboth Beach to visit Dogfish head and relax at the beach during off season. We of course stopped at the brewery for tastings on the way into town, and then to dinner that evening at the brewpub. We played a lot of games and enjoyed each other’s company. We went to Lewes for a bit and explored the park there. Climbed up the top of one of the tower’s and found a marriage proposal written in the sand. So cute. Love DE and love my friends. Another great weekend.

Finally, it was my birthday! 4th Annual 25th. πŸ™‚ I had everyone meet me out at Black Jack on 14th Street. I even had apple pie! All the lovelies came out for an evening of fun and celebration. So glad to have so many wonderful friends in the city.

January you treated me well! Great weekends the whole time!
