New York, NY | September 7-9 , 2012 | JJ’s Bachelorette in New York City!! | Super excited for this weekend. Colleen braved driving most of us but Jenny and Caitlin up to New York. We made it up in one piece to our hotel, the Affinia Dumont by early afternoon. We hung out in our super cute hotel for a bit until it was time to get dinner at Lil Frankie’s Pizza. It was the first stop on our schedule/score cards. Super tasty pizza and delicious drinks- a great way to start the weekend! Then we headed to drinks at Bourgeious Pig. Very swanky lounge where they serve giant punch bowls full of champagne punch with tiny teacups. No photos were allowed inside with flash! We got reprimanded. 🙂
Saturday began with brunch outside of our hotel at the Barking Dog. Mimosas, eggs and toast was all we needed to start day 2. 🙂 We decided to take a long walk to Central Park (we had orginally thought about a picnic but the weather was kind of iffy and we didn’t want to get rained on!). We made it to the fountain and the boat house, getting in some quality people watching. That evening began with a scandalous lingerie party and some champagne! We had dinner reservations at Stanton Social. It was small plates- and we got so many it was hard to remember how many we had! All were delicious and they had fabulous cocktails as well. I particularly enjoyed the gimlets. 🙂 After our fabulous dinner we had plans to attend an 80s dance party at the Canal Room. AMAZING. We had glow bracelets and beads and of course there was a moment on stage. Then we found ourselves over in a private party area- which made dancing much more fun. And we managed to get all of JJ’s checklist accomplished! Great evening with great ladies. 🙂
The next morning we went to a cute brunch place – Rafaella near the High Line. It was a lovely meal and although we were all pretty tired we still enjoyed it. We went on a final walk on high line before we crammed back into the car for the trek back to DC.
Congrats JJ- we all love you, are so happy for you, and had a blast celebrating!!
