Orlando, FL | February 24, 2013 | Time: 2:17:44 | There’s nothing like running through Disney World. Getting up at 2:45 a.m. and dealing with humidity however is less than desired. Not my best time, but it was quite still a lot of fun. Emily, JJ, and Kristi all came along to get their run on, as well as a few of Em’s friends who have run the race previously. I have to say Disney has got it together. From pickup at the airport to shuttles to the race to food afterwards, I felt completely taken care of, never lost, and ready to run. I got to start in the first corral (based on a previous time) so I had no issue with clogged areas along the race. It was super cool to pass by Disney characters and to run through Cinderella’s castle.
Here’s to running more Disney races! Hoping to fit in the Coast-to-Coast challenge in the next couple of years.
