OCTOBER 28, 2017 | CATAWBA, VA | Our good friends JJ and Kevin came to visit – our annual tradition! We took on a VT football game (of course) and decided the next morning that we’d do a hike on the AT to experience the fall leaves changing. McAfee Knob seemed like the ‘easiest’ choice for this pregnant lady so we headed out Sunday morning to give it a go.
Going up was definitely more challenging for me than any other time we’d done this hike but I kept moving. I was SO HAPPY to reach the top and take some fun photos and rest for a few. Then it was time to head back down (which I did in record speed compared to going up). After I was SO HUNGRY. Definitely glad I did it, but it will be a little bit before we try another!!
