Black Eyed Peas

This recipe is a long time coming- and really super easy to make. Every new year you’re supposed to start the year off with black eyed peas. Good luck and all. So here’s a quick and easy recipe that I’m a big fan of and hope that you’ll enjoy to- obviously anytime of the year but definitely for New Years Day 2017.


  • 1lb bag black eyed peas (shelled)
  • salt
  • pepper


  1. Soak peas over night in water.
  2. Rinse and fill pot again with peas and water
  3. Bring to a boil, add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Simmer for 8-10 hours.
  5. ​Enjoy!
